bags; packing in jars with alternate
layers of salt etc.

Decidely, yes.

9 In planting sweet corn is it best
to plant in a square or long rows?
A square is best, or two or more rows

10 Will it do to take up onions while the
tops are green? Better to leave till the tops die

11 Will it pay to set out celery when ther
is little prospect of water for it?
Yes, plant deep, give one good
watering and mulch

12 Where keep onions? In the corn
house until it is needed for corn
then in any cold dry place. In
winter cover with old bags or
carpet so after freezing they
may thaw in the dark.

A plan for protecting vines
from striped bugs was a square
of cheese cloth 2 ft square.
