The meeting then adjourned and we
walked to the flower garden which was
in good condition though there was not
much bloom. The vegetable garden also looked
well.

The meeting though pleasant and
much enjoyed was clouded by the
thought of the loss that we will inevitably
sustain before we meet again &
our thoughts have been much with our
Secretary and her beloved husband during
these months of patient suffering borne
with a fortitude and cheerfulness that have
been a lesson to us all.
