In the absence of H. C. Hallowell
Roger B. Farquhar, vice president opened the
meeting at 10 minutes of five.

After reading a letter from the
President, and the minutes, J. C. Bentley reported
that carbonate of copper had cured
the blight with him. Catherine Janny
used tobacco tea. Mary M. Stabler had used
co successfully. L. H. Nesbit read
an article called "Out door bulbs culture
in a nut shell" which was excellent
Mariana Miller read an article called Successful
peach growing" and another stating
that the gipsey moth has appeared
in one of the Dakotas. Dr. Stabler
read an article chestnuts telling of
grafting it upon black-oak and on
native chestnuts. J. C. Bentley that the
latter had been done successfully for him
The Forethought besides the Horicultural
suggestions contained the idea of having
a committee to consider during
the winter what improvements might
