In regard to Kanite for peach trees
a very hot application recommended, make
two applications; Some persons use simple
hot water. Mahlon Kirk told of a man
who poured hot lye around some tree
to spite his employer. The trees thrived
and improved after the dose. We were
told of a peach tree, twenty - five years
old, which is still bearing. It is nearly
smothered in honeysuckle. In trimming
trees, then out the branches so as to
let the light in and apply wood
ashes.

Forethought report did not come in
time, which was regretted. The assistant
Secretary report of the Exhibit was
The Cedars, egg-plants, turnips, peppers, flowers
Rock Spring, cabbage, turnips, sweet potatoes
corn, Lima beans, parsley, sage,
peppers and egg-plants.
Cloverly, sweet corn, four kinds of pears
sweet potatoes
Tanglewood, a sweet potatoe weighing 7 1/2
seven and a half pounds
Riverton, Kale, turnips, celery and flowers.
Rockland, Lettuce, sweet and white potatoes
carrots, salsify and apples.
