22 What is chard? a very good spring
food used like spinach and kale

Many of our members had not
planted any garden seeds. Several
had planted beets, parsnips, carrots
and had set out onion sets.
Ellen Farquhar showed a "family collection"
of seeds 25 papers for fifty
sent out by Templin, Ohio. She has
used his seeds for years and speaks
highly of them

Our walk was to the cellar to see
the incubator with 120 beautiful chicksens
nearly ready to put out; and to
the brooder with 300 in all stages
from very small to broiling size
