The President called the meeting
to order at the proper hour
and he hopes that we will do all
in our power to make the meetings
interesting and to keep the society
up to its present standard

The minutes were read and approved.
Readers, 1st Emma Stabler read
of the insects on tree causing oak-balls
and oak apples knots on cherry trees
and plum trees and gave some of the
uses of oak-balls for inks and dyes
2nd An advertisement of an insect
exterminator for cabbage worms

Philadel. Some will try it and report
2nd Reader Carrie Farquhar, mental
epidemics. Horticulture was one
2nd She read of the bad effects of
spraying while trees are in bloom
injuring the fruit and the bees.
