the wilting of the branch. In Oct.
the larva can be found in the
earth at the foot of the trees & killed

We had a guest Mr. Robinson
from the Experiment Station, who gave us
valuable information on various Horticultural
subjects. In trimming raspberries
he advocated cutting back the
long new canes early enough for the
side shoots which they will put forth
to mature before winter. Our President
expressed the thanks of the Society
for his kindness in answering our
numerous questions

We enjoyed our walk into the
garden with its rows of promising
vegetables. The fine new fence inclosing
the garden was admired and
the gardeners have our congratulations
The flower garden was coming into
bloom and the lawn was a falling
green.

Next meeting at Knollton
Readers.
