Bartlet the Concord grape was improved
from a wild grape and a
series of years of careful growing of the
seeds of a South American wild potato
resulted in the Early Rose. The Bentley
Seedling - a fine apple for all purposes
originated at Bloomfield.

John Bentley told us of Dr. Augustus
Stablers orchard of 30 or 40 peach trees
from seeds of a tree which has been
in bearing for forty years. Mr Davis
read a receipe for raising dwarf trees

Forethought reminded of ithen importance
destroying harmful insects
and plant, cabbage, egg-plant etc.
This report ended with a plea for
punctuality in assembling and adherence
to the hour appointed for
beginning business
