1 Will ground that has been heavily dressed

2 How prevent grass from growing between

3 Peach trees set out one year are full of
fruit. Should it be thinned? Leave until
after June; then if many do not fall
it would be well to thin it

4 Is Bordeaux mixture a year old good?
No It should be freshly mixed.

5 Are pear trees dying generally or only at
some places? It is a general complaint.

6 Is it advisable to set hens now? It will
be better to wait a while as chickens
hatched in July, are not often healthy

7 How far apart plant sweet potatoes?
Fifteen to eighteen inches.

8 Has any one hit - upon a device
for keeping birds out of cherrie trees?
Not successful. One member tried putting
a stuffed cat in a tree and in ten
minutes the birds were sitting on the
cat! A bright tin can suspended
