It was hard to realize, in our inspection
of garden and lawn - that so short-
a time had elapsed since it was
a bit of wildwood. Many flower beds
were teeming with beauty _ and fine
rose bushes adorned the lawn.

The tomato plants were in bloom
and other vegetables were thrifty and
abundant.
