winter? Not usually but if sown
now it might be well to cover lightly.

12 Are lime and wood ashes a go to
dressing for a lawn? Both excellent.

13 Has any member tried pruning
Lima beans? No.

14 Is it because the ground is too rich
that they send out many side
branches? No answer.

15 How save a patch of corn not
mature enough to use? Pull up
and put in a large [?], and
same will be fit to eat. Samuel
used to pull up (not cut off) and
set against a fence, and sometimes
had it in winter.

16 How keep tomatoes? Some spread on
the ground and cover with Lima
bean vines, others spread in a
cool, dry, room.
