Rock to each two plants, and two applications
of Nitrate of soda 1 oz to 1 gal
water. Very small plants set out 9th
of April were ready for the table early
in June. The Nitrate of Soda solution
is also, fine for egg-plants
Sow turnips last of the month.
In the flower garden, cut off
old blooms, mulch young roses with
old stable manure; put down cut
twigs of geraniums for winter; sow
seeds of perennials.

The report of temperature and
rain fall for June 1901 and June 1902
made by Edith Hallowell, was very interesting.
