Ellen Farqnhar's eggplant was fine
she sprayed it and used lime
Dr Magruder dips the roots in
whitewash before planting and the
result is excellent. Mrs. Davis reports
the late planting of vegetables doing
well. Roger Farquhar met with
white walnuts at Raleigh Springs
and asks why they are not cultivated
here. They grow in places in
this region, Riverside, and adjacent
farm. They are not so generally
liked as black walnuts, Some like
them very much.
