Forethought report, Later in this month
cabbage seeds should be sown for
wintering over and lettuce in cold frames
celery should be well worked and
bleaching begun the last of the month.
Work strawberry beds preparatory for
winter mulch. Don't let early frosts
catch the sweet-potatoes. Save flower
seeds, sow pansey and poppy seed.

Bulbs wanted for early bloom in the
house may be started now. Continue
potting plants for winter if not done
last month.
