Various efforts have been made to
discover the cause of death of cherry
trees but nothing certain is known
and we are advised to continue
planting, D.O.Munson, a successful
fruit grower, received a $265.00
from one acre of cherry trees.

2 What damage was done to spring
trees by locusts last year? Very little
harm to trees in our immediate
neighborhood, we have heard of
considerable harm in some other
counties.

3 When nursery stock arrives and
the ground is too wet to plant
how should the trees, asparagus roots
be kept? Cover them with sand
or put in a cellar.

4 In planting melons, should sand be
put on when the seeds are put
in? Yes, the seeds come up easily
and it is not agreeable to bugs!
