Nearly all our members were present
at this meeting. The minutes were read and approved.
1st Reader was absent
2nd Mariana Miller read of "Trees and
the case of roadways and Public
grounds." Volunteer Annie F. Brooke
a article on edible mushrooms.
Some kinds we have always avoided
proving very good eating.

Forethough gave timely advice as
to saving sweet-potatoes. Cut the vines
before frost; get house plants ready
to bring in. Plant onion seed or [sets?]?
for early use. As Poultry occupies so
much of our time. Forethought proposed
we should appoint a third reader for
each meeting to write or select an article
on the subject; this was so favorably
received that it passed into
a by-law without a dissenting
voice.
Meteorologist report interesting noon temperature
