Sue Thomas gave some intersting
items of her visit to Toronto: a very
beautiful town with houses set back
from the street. Window gardens were
especially beautiful. A fine variety of
Sweet Allyssum plant. Many business
houses covered with Ampelopsis. The
roads are fine. 25 per cent of acreage
is in fruit and much buckwheat is raised
and very fine horses.

Eliza Moore told told of a visit to
Shelter Island, 2 1/2 hours East of Long
Island. There is a remarkable grave
yard and the inscriptions on some of
the tombstones were not flattering.
