April Thursday 8th 1880

Henry Butler finished plowing &
harrowing the lot. I worked at
putting on new curtains to the
Germantown wagon. "Lee Bolds"
helped me on Jno Bentley's account,
he wishing to borrow the wagon.
Sarah Grisby called for advice
& medicine.

30 Friday 9th

Finished "dash" for Germantown &
put it on, drove to Ed: P Thomas'
brought home new buggy pole
& grindstone fixing took the
pole to Dair's shop to have it put
together. Bro R dined with us.
Blustering, cold & "March-like"

April Saturday 10th 1880

Let Willie ride to Fulford for milk
before breakfast. "Betty" ran away with
him coming home. Went to Frederic
Stabler's & settled with him to date.
Loaned little buggy to Walter Scott.
Bro R called. Afternoon drove
to Fulford & took sister B some fish.
Helen & Harry & Baby called.
After tea walked up to the store.
It has been exceedingly blustering &
windy all day & indeed for several
days.

High Wind Clear S.W.
40 Sunday 11th

Extremely high wind therefurst last
night, which continued all day
today. Edwd Lea called at the gate
for me to go to Homewood to prescribe
for Cousin Hannah who has been suffering
greatly with one of her eyes.
I drove over & back before noon.
The weather is cold & we have had
several little "spits" or squalls of
snow.
