June: Thursday 3d 1880

Ernest staid all night with Charley
Willie & I drove (in Germantown)
to Sarah Owing's & to Fulford
before dinner. Fixed back seat
with "set screws" to stop rattling.
Towards evening Harriet, Dora
Willie, Edwd & I went in Germantown
to Edwd Peirce's & made a
call. After tea Charley drove
to N Fulford. Rained about the
time he got home. Had some
family music in the evening.

Friday 4th

I "hilled up" the potatoes
with shovel plow. Took Willie
& drove to see -- Jackson's
daughter (beyond Grace: Stabler's
place. Came home by "Woodburn"
& brought another Rabbit
for Willie with us. After tea
Dora, Charley & I went to North
Fulford to the last meeting of
the "musical" for the season.
Took Miss Mary Gilpin
with us.

June: Saturday 5th 1880

Set out sweet potato plants.
Ed Davies (colored) sent me $2.00
Chas G Porter here & looked at the
"Omnibus". I drove down to Ashton
in light buggy. Afternoon I "tinkered"
& repaired fence around the house.
Walked up to the store. Mary Augustus
(wife of Charles Augustus) colored,
from near Colesville, was here for
advice & medicine.

Sunday 6th

Beautiful day with strong
N & S.W. wind blowing all day.
Bro R here & went to meeting
with Dora & dined with us.
Mrs Jno King here with her children
for advice etc. Charley went
to Harewood before dinner and
in afternoon went to Riverside
& N. Fulford to take
some ladies a drive. Clinton
Cissell here & paid his bill.
