June Tuesday 15th 1880

Poor little Mabel Peirce died
last night between nine & ten o clock
when "Reaction" should take place
she never recovered from the "shock"
Started to go to Geo Peirces but
hearing at the store of her death I
went to Edwd Stabler Jr's & home.
through the rain. Afternoon
I drove over to Jno: M Smith's to
call upon Susan Coale Sr:
& home via Homewood & Ashton.
Raining more or less all
day & Evening

Wednesday 16th

Slept admirably last night -
Drove up to "Kentmere" and
"Fulford". Mable Peirce was
buried at "Friends Burial ground
at 11 o' clock this a.m.
Prescribed for the Italian "Harp
Man" also for -- Blum cigar
peddler. Louis Scofield here

Beautiful Morning. E
Peirce & Annie Chandlee came
& took Alice home. I went to
"Kentmere" & 'Fulford". Hung
the shutters in Charley's room
cut my left hand
In evening Charley took the
"Germantown" & took Miss M T Kirk
& two Miss Tysons to Scott's to
a dance. home at midnight.

Friday 18th

Drove to Kentmere & Fulford
afternoon. Took Harriet, Dora
Willie & Edwd: to Riverside and
Homewood. Walked up to the
store before supper -
