via "Hollins Corner" Afternoon
took Harriet, Dora Willie & Edwd
to "Homewood" Hung the last
pair of shutters (back window
in parlor) Whisky trial at
Sandy Spring

Thursday 22nd

Rainy day. Colored boy from
Mr Lawfords here with sore leg.
Woman from Asa Stablers & Mary
Hill here. Quite cool made
a fire in dining room.
Ernest & Herbert called here.
Charley & Dora went to Harry
Lea's to a "Reception" given to the
bride & groom (Harriet & Edwd Bentley)
after supper, it having eased raining.

July Friday 23rd 1880

Was called up before sun rise
to relieve [Friend?] S and Scott:
Went to Jeff Hopkins and to
Jno: S Hammond's. Afternoon
I drove Dora to Chas Stablers
on her way to the Archery meeting
at "Alloway". After tea
Charley went after her.
Was sent for after night & rode
"Polly" to see Mrs "Hi" Hopkins
got horse "tired out" before
midnight.

here for advice &c. Drove
to Buletier Hopkins afternoon
Ben Johnson here for advice &c
and to "square accounts". Went
to see Warfield on Chandlee's
place.
