Wm J Scofield here. I went to see
woman on Albert Chandlee's place
Did some carpentering at the
barn & put hand Rail to horseblock.
The two eldest Kummer
girls & Alice Peirce came here
& they with Charley & Dora went
after tea to a party at Fulford.
Al Tho's: servant girl here & had
a tooth extracted.
Wash woman here.

Extremely warm - I drove to
Jeff:& Hi: Hopkins - before dinner -
Negro Ravisher arrested yesterday
by Jos:Davis. was hung by
Judge Lynch this morning at

Drove Harriet over to "Delmar"
to call upon Cousin Hallie Bentley
& congratulate her upon her
recent marriage & settlement in
her new home.. Chas G Porter here
& had tooth extracted Lizze A
Watters also here & paid her bill-
