Afternoon went to Mr
Ernest Lawford's to prescribe
for Mrs L - Hallie Lea and
Miss H Willis -
Edwd & Letitia Kummer
came & spent the night
with us -

Friday 30 N.W.

E & L Kummer went over to
Homewood with Ernest -
Finished taking up potatoes
& sow'd the lot with corn -
I drove to Hopkin's & back
before dinner - Afternoon
Charley & Dora went to Albin
Gilpins to an archery meeting.

July Saturday 31st" S.E.

Went to hopkins & had Dr Riggs
in consultation in Mrs H's case
Went to prescribe for Mrs R Cissell.
Afternoon went to Wm J Scofield's
and paid him $1.50 being ballance
on note of 28.00 Geo Tucker agreeing
to pay his bill $(26.50) to Mr
Scofield for whom he is working.
Went to See Cassie Ann Budd
at Hamilton Budd's -
"Uncle Henson" & Jim made a slab
pen for the manure (at the stable)
to keep Mr. White's chickens from
scratching it all through the woods.

August Sunday 1st"

Messenger here from Dorcas Pumphrey's
before we were out of bed -
Two gentlemen called looking for a
lost setter dog. whilst we were at
breakfast. Charley & I went in the
phaeton to Richd: Cissell's & to Jeff &
Hiram Hopkin's - The weather is
quite hot again & horses suffer much
from the heat and flies. E Bentley
called. I drove to Fulford to see Thos:
Lea: after tea Charley drove Dora to
N. Fulford & Fulford -
