Drove to R Cissell's and to
Fulford before dinner.
B Rush Roberts called and I
paid him in full to date (33.40)
Henson Hill finished hoeing
the garden. I sawed holes in
the north gable of barn for
"pigeon holes" ten in number
that Willie may have pigeons
as "pets". Leanna here washing.
After tea Charley went to "Walnut
Hill" taking uncle Henson
with him as far as his home.

here before I was up to borrow
the "Germantown" to go to Laurel
to bring home some N.Y. friends
---Thompson here & had tooth extracted.
Went to R Cissell's -
Richard T. Bentley & wife & Edward
Bentley & wife took tea with us;
there were quite a number of
other friends invited but none
came but those mentioned.

August Jno: Howard (from Brookville)
here with his daughter for advice
& med: - Crawford here
& had tooth extracted. Drove
to "Hopkins (on the Sligo Pike)
through the Rain. Afternoon
Edwd Taylor here & had tooth
extracted. Rainy day.
After-tea Charley went (horseback)
to a party at Samuel J Hopkin's in
Howard County, and in spite of the
Rain, bad Road; long distance, and
dark night; there were many
went: some of whom, were given
credit of possessing more sense
Sent "Jim" over to A Cissell's with medicine
& advice for Mrs. C. Charly got home
half an hour after mid night. Jno C
Bentley upset his jagger & "smashed"
up generally

About home all day - The
methodist preacher here & had
tooth extracted also - Crawford
RI Lea's man - Afternoon went
with B Rush Roberts Edwd Needles
WH Farquhar &c &c to survey
& stakeout the "Orthodox"
meeting House lot. After tea
Charley went to a dance at
"Rockland."
