Sept. Saturday 11th 1880

Another beautiful day. Sent
"Major" to Sam Budd's and had two
"new removes" behind. Had
Phaeton washed and got new carpet
for it via A G Thomas. About home
all day. Louis Hill here for advice
and medicine. Took my old
saddle bags to Bukoffsky's to
have them repaired for night
use
when I go on horseback.
the first cent they have cost for
repairs in 24 years of almost
constant use. Walked to
store after tea.

Sunday 12th

Lovely day. R J Lea came
over for me to go to see Helen
Charley drove me down to
the Mill in the Germantown
taking Dora and Alice Peirce
as for us "Homewood and picking
Dora up as we came home.
Charley and Willie then started in
phaeton to go to Riverside and
W walked home from Ashton. Ernest
bringing him that far. Charley drove
Dasie Jacobson to Sharon and home
and then drove to Saml Ellicott's
and home. Ernest came here to tea.

Monday, 13th 1880

Much warmer. Sun very hot
about 11 o'clock. Drove to Leawood
Mills to see Helen & home
to dinner. Henson Hill here and
cut our broad cast corn. also
trimmed the hedge.

Tuesday 14th

Willie commenced going to school
to Ellie Chandlee. Henson Hill
here and finished trimming the hedge
Towards Evening Charley drove
over to Mr Moore's and Scott's.
After tea he rode to Riverside
