to see Helen. Ernest here to tea
with Charley Mrs Alice &
Estelle Syson called. Henson
Hill here Afternoon I put the
corn fodder in "hand Stacks".
Laura Thomas & Hetty Stabler
called. Sister Beulah took tea
with us. Harriet walked down
to Bloomfield & made a call -

Thursday 16th

Drove around by "Hollands corner"
& across to the Sligoturn pike
at toll gate thence to Chas: Howard's
on Mr John Thoma's place
called at Hettie Stabler's & Hamilton
Johnsons'. afternoon I got
tared rope for bands & thatched
the little stacks of fodder -
Drove to Leawood Mills and
Riverside. got 25lbs flour at
the mill & a "violin book" for Charley
at Riverside.

Friday 17th 1880

Took Dora (in the phaeton) to Edwd
Peirces' & left her there to go with
Alice to call up on Mary Janney
& after dinner to go to Walnut Hill
to an "Archery Meeting". I then
went to "Grove Hill" to see Mrs
Eldridge again & brought Mrs
Annie Tyson to Sallie Lea's.
Brought Willie home with me
from school. Afternoon Charley
took the "Germantown" & went to Fulford
where he took in two Miss
Tyson & Hallie Lea & took them to
the Archery meeting, came home
to tea & to the store & went again
after the girls by moonlight.

Harry Lea here to see me
Drove to Edwd P Thoma's & extracted
tooth for Helen.
went to Chas Howards to see
his wife - Afternoon Frederick
Tyson drove up from Laurel "Milstead"
bringing him. Sat up
until quite late. Jno: Bentley,
came in & we had some music -
