Sept: Sunday 19th 1880

Charley drove me down to
Cornelius Leizear's & back
& then took F Tyson over to
Jno Smith's to dine. Afternoon
Jno Johnson (colored) who lives
with A. G. Thomas' called for
advice & medicine. Charley &
Frederic returned to tea.
After tea Bro Chas: came over
& spent part of the evening with
us & drove Fred, to Fulford
Son C rode to Ingleside -

Monday 20th

Gilbert Smith called & took
his uncle Frederic to Laurel
leaving here at 25 minutes
before 8 o'clock a.m.
Leana Mitchell came to wash
at half past 8 a.m. Jim also
late in coming to work.
Towards evening I went (on horseback)
to Cornelious Leizear's home
after dark. After tea Charley
& Willie went "rabbit hunting"
from Ingleside with the beagles
came home in rain about
11.30.

Tuesday 21st 1880

Rode on "Major" to Cornelius
Leizear's. Afternoon I went
to Edwd Davis' (colored) to prescribe
for his child (Emma Jane) Edwd
Chalfont took tea and spent the
evening with Willie. Charley
took "Count & Major" to E Davis'
buggy, & took Alice Tyson to
call at Grove Hill - Home in
good time.

Wednesday 22nd

Drove down to Cornelius
Leizears'. Extracted tooth for
-- Hewitt at Chas: Stabler's
Afternoon drove over to Homewood
to see cousin Ellie
who is suffering from alveolar
abcess. called at Ashton and
drove up to Sandy Spring & got some
"animal cakes" for Edward.
This has been a perfect day
as lovely as possible -
