Oct: Monday 25th 1880

Eliza Anne Green (Colored)
called for advice & medicine.
Afternoon I drove to Fulford in
Germantown to see about a
stove. Before dining I drove to
Ashton in little buggy.
After supper I went into see
an infant at neighbour Mutes.
Charley drove to Rockland to get
some dogs and to have a hunt.
Came home early without them.
Ernest came over & we had
some music.

Tuesday 26th

Drove in little buggy to Ashton
& Sandy Spring trying to find
a stove for office parlor. Had
"breechband" of extra set single
harness repaired at Bukoffsky's
also "tugs" to hold up shafts.
Eliza H Bentley called again
for advice & medicine. Annie
Rounds washed for Harriet.
Towards night fall went over to
"Bentley's pines" to help John B
and Saml Scott shoot blackbirds
but they had all flown
away beore I got there.

Oct: Wednesday 27th

I was up earlier than usual
drove down to Bloomfield and saw
Jno T Bentley about wood. Sent
Jonas Marryatt over who drove
Johns' oxen & cart & hauled us
a cord of oak wood. I went over
to Riverside taking the gun and
"Milo" to look after birds. saw
none, but shot a Rabbit.
Afternoon I took stove over to
"Homewood" School House in
the Germantown. Put up the
spare room stove in office
parlor.

Thursday 28th

Disagreeable day Raining
more or less all day. I drove to
Ashton to see about medicine
for Mariana Stabler. Ed: Hill
called to see about our account
Walked up to store towards dark
Jonas' brother Lewis called to see
him after dark.
