Beautiful day. The horse "Major"
is completely "used up" this morning
from Charley's overdriving yesterday
whilst he was weak from "Epizooty".
He appears like a badly [foundered]
horse. Can scarsely walk. Worked
with him most of the day. Eliza
N Bentley called for advice &c.
also Ernest Cissel & Charlotte Budd.
Ernest Iddings hauled us two
barrels of corn (on the cob)
Afternoon I drove to Ashton in
open buggy. Appointed meeting
at the Meeting House at 3 p.m.
Charley went to meeting sociable at
Granville Farquhar's.
