Nov: Friday 26th 1880

Went over to B R Roberts early.
Went again about noon, again
in afternoon and after supper (four times)
He has been extremely low for three days
and is in a very critical condition.
Took Helen Lea over with me once.
Quite a snow storm all afternoon
& evening. Charley has abandoned
his "mountain trip" much to our satisfaction.

21o Clear and Cloudy W
Saturday 27th

Harry drove Helen over to Sherwood
in my sleigh &Dora to Fulford.
I went there on horseback & to
Ashton in sleigh. Afternoon Harry
drove "Count & Jeff " to "Germantown"
wagon down to the mill taking Jonas
with him. to bring the piano with
him. Went to Sherwood again
about dark. Sarah Dent here.
Walked up to the store after supper.
Harry went to Sherwood to stay all
night.

Sunday 28th 1880

Very disagreeable day. Rain
and sleet. Went to Sherwood
after breakfast. Find Rush still
living but no better. I fear some
evidence of venas blood in the
brain: a low sort of delirium
having set in. Richard Lea
here about dinner time and
part of afternoon. Wm Bond
(colored) here to have wounded
hand dressed. Went again
to Sherwood about dark. "no
better". Richard Lea drove
Harrys "Jeff" to Willow Grove
& "Rockland" after dark.

B Rush Roberts died about
midnight last night and
is released from care & suffering
Ann Maria Green called for advice.
Miss Mary Brady here & had abcess
on finger lanced. Tom Bond's wife
here for advice &vmedicine. Also
Richd Cissels daughter for advice &c.
for Ernest Cissel. Jno Robt Harden
brought me 2300 lbs of wheat
straw. I drove Helen over to Sherwood
& walked home.
