Dec: Sunday 12th 1880

Much warmer and more pleasant.
Charley drove Major to the
open buggy & took some lady to
"meeting". Harry, Helen and Willie also
went & I walked over after meeting
was "out". Bros: Richard and Charles
called, the former dined with us.
Afternoon Charley, Harry, Willie
& others went to the River to skate.
Harry took Helen and baby to "Bloomfield"
after meeting where they spent the
ballance of the day. I went to Jno:
Kings (on horseback) to prescribe for
their infant son.

Monday 13th

Slept badly last night little Edwd
having suffered with toothache and
kept his mother and I awake.
Drove to Ashton in the phaeton after
which sent Jonas with Helen to call
at "Sherwood". Washed & washered
the "Germantown" wagon. Als put
washers on the open buggy. Sent
Jonas after Willie. Cassieann
Budd here for advice &medicine.
The "hunters" sent us a quarter of
venison. Harry went to the mill
on the river taking Willie to school
Geo: L Stabler called to see Harry
on business.

Dec: Tuesday 14th 1880

Harry took Willie with him as
far as Homewood on his way to the
mill. I drove to Riverside and
Ashton &sent Jonas for milk
and to bring W Home. Afternoon
I drove to Ashton for medicine
for Charley & Harry. Harry & Helen
went to Highland to spend the night
Hiram Hopkins & wife here with
infant for advice &c. and also E Davis
(colored) Frank Snowden took tea
with us. Robt Spenser here after tea
Charley F Snowden and R Spenser went
to "highland" in the evening to a
"Band practice". C driving "Count" and
"Major" to the open buggy. Home at
25 minutes after midnight.

Wednesday 15th

Willie walked to school. I drove
both horses to open buggy to Ashton
and Fulford. Annie Rounds ironed
for H. Sent Jonas for Willie
Walked to the store just before dark.
Ernest took supper with us. Sent Charley's
supper up to the store for him. Saml
Bond being away in Baltimore.
Store closed earlier than usual
Charley being at home by little
after nine o'clock.
