Dec: Friday 24th 1880

Drove to Frederic Stablers' and
Wm. S Bond's in Sleigh. Afternoon, went
to Fulford &Ashton. Harry brought Helen
& baby over from "Sherwood". Frederic
Stablers team hauled me two cords
of oak wood. Uriah Bond here for
advice & for his wife. Bro Richard
& Annie Chandlee called.

Saturday 25th

"Christmas" day. I drove to Z J Davi's
to prescribe for his daughter "Josey" sent
Jonas to Fulford milk. Drove Helen
down to "Bloomfield" and went on to
Ashton. Went again twice to see
"Josey" Davis. Bro Richard called.
Charley drove me over to see
Jas: Johnson wife on Congdons'
place. home to supper. Walked up
to A Fairall's and made affidavit to
a paper for F H Carpenter Esq of Lancaster
Pa.

Sunday 26th 1880

Snow storm continued throughout
last night and this morning
it is about 12 inches deep
on a level in the woods. Harry
went to "Sherwood" & was gone
until after dinner. Ernest here
to dinner and supper. he & Charley
going in the sleigh afternoon to
"Fulford" & Sharon. After tea they
went each in a sleigh to "Ingleside"
to take young ladies sleighing
Charley driving "Jeff" to our
sleigh.

33^o Clear and Cloudy W.
Monday 27th

Drove in sleigh to F Stabler's and
Wm. S. Bonds. Jno Bentley & Eliza
called. Also Mary B Thomas and
Sarah B Lea. I drove afternoon
to Remus Hill's and back intending to
go to Congdon's but found the road
unbroken. The roads are much
drifted. Quite a musical party
here in the evening which I enjoyed.
Saml & Walter Scott and Jno Bentley
here. We had some coffee, cakes
oranges &c. Charley drove Scott's
home about 10-30 o'clock.
