Dec: Tuesday 28^th 1880

Great change in temperature
within the past 24 hours. I drove,
both horses to the sleigh to W^m Bonds
and Ashton. Afternoon Charley
drove to Fulford & brought Helen and
baby home. Harry left after breakfast
to go to "Cooksville" to sell a
horse. After supper Charley and
Willie went to Riverside in sleigh
and then to Scott's.

11° Snow NE
Wednesday 29^th

Snowing all day - Harry went
to the Old Mill & Geo L Stabler's sale
on horseback. Richard Lea called
& took Helen to the Mill etc.
I mended the stove in spare Room
and altered the stove pipe hole
in the chimney - About home
all day do not feel at all well
having taken cold .

Dec: Thursday 30^th 1880

Extremely cold. I drove down
to W^m S Bond's and afternoon
took Edward a sleigh Ride to Ashton
& Sandy Spring - Harry Lea
moved his household goods
into the adjoining house and
Moab White moved his out
Willie went with Harry down to
the River Mill to help him pack
their things. After supper Charley -
went to a "masquerade" party at
Washington B. Chichester's, dressed
in antique costume, "Knee breeches"
cocked hat etc etc

6° Below Clear - N.W.
Friday 31^st

Charley did not get home until
nearly three o' 'clock this morning.
I did not sleep any last night &
feel quite unwell to-day - Whites people
finished moving away from the
house next door - Moab dined here -
[?] & Richd Lea Eliza & Jno Bentley all
here - Harry away all day after breafast,
until dark. I drove over to see
cousin Mary Chandlee-
