I was surprised to find it
a clear morning, it turned out
to be a beautiful day. Edwd
went "fishing" with "the boys" from
next door except "Phil," who
drove Prof. Chas Stabler to Laurel
Afternoon I sent "John" to Laurel
after Willie who expects to
reach there about 9 o'clk this
evening. Leaving Wellsborough
at 7 o'clk this morning
I rode to Ashton with John
& walked back. Miss Mollie
Mathews & Miss Miss Holland
called this afternoon. Also,
a colored man from C F. Brookes
with a bill for wood.

Willie arrived with John
about midnight last. Having
left his truck in Balto to come
by stage to day. I am feeling
quite unwell & am afraid
of getting the "grippe" again.
Allan Farquhar called to see
Dora on business for the insurance
Co. Mrs B O Hardy sent
us some eggs. & I sent some
cough mixture for their infant.
Willie walked to Edwd Peirce's
to dinner. Afternoon I took Dora
in the Surry & went after him
meeting him on the road near
Remus Hill's. I took the wheel
of the wheel barrow to Fletcher
Clark's to have tire cut. After
supper G M Beal called and
we came to an understanding about
his bill, he paying me $1.00 and
agreeing for me to get the ballance
in flour at the mill, at the rate
of two sacks or three sacks pr month
until the bill is paid. The ballance
due this evening being Five dollars.
