Ther. Clear Fri.April 28, 1893 SW Wind

Slept well last night, and
after breakfast walked with
F Tyson downtown, parted
wih him on the street & went
to his office for my "baggage"
& hurried to the Clemceau Station.
Took the 12-15 train &
reached Laurel "on time" found
Willie waiting for me & we
reached home a 4 p.m.
Mrs. S Brooke died yesterday
morning at her son in laws ("Frederic
Stablers). I am glad to
get home, but have had a delightful
visit to my old friend; and
feel better for it. but am
very tired, having walked more
in the two days that I was in
the city. than I would in a week
at home.

Much warmer weather & "showery"
Some thunder in afternoon.
Mrs: Sarah Brooke widow of Roger
Brooke of "Willow Grove" was buried
at Friend's burying ground this
afternoon (aged 79 years). Joseph
Bond Jr: was here to consult me
this morning. After supper Willie
drove over to E. Peirce's taking "Phil"
with him who rode "Frank" home
leaving the phaeton for Willie
to take Fanny Peirce to "Glenwood"
tomorrow & to Miss Mary
& Anne Cook's. I walked up
to the store twice before bedtime
for groceries etc.
