Beautiful day. Willie
worked all day at putting up the
carriage shed at the west side of
the stable. I drove to Ashton and
bought the paint for the office
roof & porch roof. E going with
me, after which E rode Frank
to Dr Magruder's for some verbena
plants. After supper Willie
Dora & Edwd went over to
Riverside in the Surry to call
upon Ernest & Minnie, who
came there yesterday. "Phil"
took supper with us. I walked
up to the store in the evening.
Clear & Cloudy
Ther. 65o Sun. May 21st, 1893 N.&S.W Wind
It was very hot today &
thunder gusts passed both north
& south of us before sunset, and
we had one here after dark.
Willie rode Frank to Brighton
to church after dinner & came
home after supper, just in time
to escape the storm with which
there was some hail. I wrote to
F. Tyson & also to T.H. Borden.
After I had gone up stairs to retire,
"Phil" Robison came to put
Mrs: Ellicott's horse in our stable
he having driven it from Mrs
E's bringing his aunt Mary & his
sister home from spending the
day there: they having expected to
walk home, but the storm came
up & Mrs E loaned them the horse
& carriage.
