Saturday
Ther. 67o. Sat. July 1st, 1893 Changeable Wind

Sent Phil & Edwd to Rockville
in the Surry for Dora & Willie
but recd a telegram from W
saying they would not come
until monday, half an hour
after the boys had gone, so
they had the long hot muddy
drive for nothing. they reached
home about 4-30 p.m. Cousin
Hannah Archer went to spend
the night with Hallie Bentley.
It tried to clear off, all day
but towards sunset it commenced
raining again.
I let Edwd Hickman have
the old carbine, which was
of no use to me. Poor little
"Ginger" dog was nearly choaked
to death on a cold cherry dumpling,
but fortunately I got
her relieved.

Clear & Cloudy
Ther, 67o. Sun. July 2d, 1893 SE&NW Wind

Clear & warmer. John
Lea (Harry's son) was here and
I extracted a tooth for him.
Alice & Fanny Peirce took tea
with us. Mrs Robison and
family spent the evening
with us. I took medicine
for Julia A Berry to the stage
drive to take to Spencerville.
