Rather cooler today. Willie
drove "Frank" to E. Peirce's where he
left him & drove their horse to my
phaeton, to Mechanicsville church
& back here to dinner. Bro Richd
called before meeting, also
Sarah & Mariana Stabler to
see sister Harriet. Afternoon
Willie took Fanny Pierce home.
Bro Chas: called. I walked up
to Henderson's. The weather is
much cooler & more pleasant
after the storm of yesterday,
which must have been very
severe somewhere not far
from us, & probably a hail
storm.

Delightfully cool this morning
& pleasant all day. Willie
& Edwd worked the potatoes with
the horse & cultivator, after I took
it to the smith shop & had it repaired.
Rachael Proctor's daughter
called & paid a ballance of 25c.
I worked the corn with Edward
to lead the horse for me. Mary
E Gilpin was here to see sister
Harriet. I got a bag of horse
feed at the mill on "Matt"
Bell's account. Willie went to
E Peirce's after dinner to paint
the window shutters for them.
