Clear
Ther. 22o FRI. DEC. 8, 1893 Wind S.E.
Clear & frosty this morning
I am feeling somewhat better
than for some days past. After
dinner I smoked my first pipe,
and found it "did me good" as
I enjoyed a good "nap" afterward
Alice & Beatrix Tyson called
and I enjoyed their call, they
are always bright & pleasant
company.

Rain & Sleet
Ther. 30o SAT. DEC. 9th, 1893 Wind S & E
Very raw, chilly & disagreeable
out of doors & dull & depressing
everywhere. Edwd bought some
bran at the mill for "Frank" horse
and Frank Robison brought it
down to the house for us. I am
afraid the horse is not quite well
as he does not seem to drink as
well as he should.
