Clear & bright to day with enough
wind together with the sun shine
to dry up much of the mud.
Recd another letter from Charles
telling more about the fire and
of his getting ready to re build
his house as soon as possible.
Afternoon Hallie Bentley called.
I went to the store & P.O.
Afer supper Edwd went to a
"Phenaskia" meeting at "Clifton".
I went to the Mill for flour this
morning. Frank Hewett brought
us a load of oak wood that I
wrote for ten days ago.

Cloudy & Clearing
53° Ther. SUN. MAY 1st, 1898 Variable Wind.

Cloudy early this morning, but
cleared off before noon. Dora &
Edwd drove over to "Hazeldean" to
see Ida & the children leaving
here before 8 o'clk. I went to meeting.
Harriet & I were alone all day
except that Mrs Robison came in
for a few minutes after dinner.
Dora & Edwd. came home about
ten o clock this evening. Willie
& Fanny were at "Hazeldean" also.
Dora & E called at "Fairfield" as
they came home.
