Clear & Cloudy.
58° Ther. THURS. MAY 12th, 1898 S E & N.W. Wind.

It rained very hard during part
of last night, being another thunder
storm. I prescribed again for
Mrs. Ellicott & John Thornton came
for medicine for her. I walked down
to Ashton & back after dinner.
We had a thunder gust about 3.o'clk.
p.m. Ella Jackson (colored) was here
for advice & medicine for herself &
also for her daughter. "Old John"
was here for advice about his
pension papers again. Lizzie
Scott was here to see Dora.
After supper, I went to the toll house
for the Evening News. Robt Blair
cut my hair for me at the store
during the rain this afternoon.

Cloudy & Clearing
60 Ther_ FRI. MAY 13th, 1898 N.W. Wind.

It rained again last night
but only a shower, & was cloudy
more or less all day today, with
occasional sunshine. I went
to the P.O. before dinner, and
again in the afternoon. Mrs. & Miss
Stella Ellicott were here for me
to examine & prescribe for Mrs.
E's throat again. After supper
I went to Fairall's shop and to
the toll house. I walked up to
Henderson's house, where he is
building an addition to the
back part of it, enlarging the
dining room & making another
bed room over it, besides a "bay
window" & another portico. in
the N.E. angle formed by the addition
to the main building.
