Cloudy & threatning rain this
morning, & indeed until towards
evening, when it cleared off
again. Edwd & I went to meet-
ing & heard a sermon from Edwd
Farquhar. "Preparitory meeting"
was also held, next sunday
being the "Quarterly "Meeting."
Willie & Fanny went back to
"Fairfield" after dinner.
After supper, I went to the
toll house & telegraph office
No important news had been
received. This Morning W^m
Cuff sent a colored boy. (Louis
Dorsey) to the office & I extracted
a tooth for him.

This had been a beautiful day
throughout. & quite warm in the
sunshine during the middle
of the day. I have suffered
with headache all day. Went
to the mill & to Henderson's
new building. Edwd went
to "Fairfield", Willie having
telephoned for him to come
After supper I went to the
