Ther. 75o THURS. AUG. 4th, 1898 Wind S.E.
Rather more pleasant as we had
a nice breeze from S.E. all day.
I took some medicine for William
Barne's infant to their house
after breakfast. Afternoon Old
"Uncle Henson" called. Willie
Fanny & the baby were here
for an hour or two, but went
back before supper, fearing
a thunder storm, which looked
very threatening but passed
around as except a shower.
After supper Edwd went to
a dancing party at Olney
Grange Hall riding bicycle.

Ther. 70o FRI. AUG 5th, 1898 Wind N.W.
Last night we had the most severe
storm of wind, rain & we have
had since the great wind storm
of nearly two years ago. Edwd came
home fro the dance with Saml
Bond Jr (about 2 o'clk), after the
storm had subsided, leaving the
bicycle until he went for it this
morning. Dr Henry Fitzhugh called
this morning, I was disappointed
in not getting to the "Doctor's Club"
which meets at Dr Greens this
evening. I had hoped to go with
Dr Cissel, but he did not go
past here as he usually does.
After supper Edwd went to another
dancing party: this time at "Willow
Grove" going on bicycle again
It is much cooler since the
storm of last night.
