Delightful change in the weather
after we had gone up stairs last night
Mr & Mrs {Taliaferro?}, (Janey Smith)
that was , drove into our yard out of
the way of meeting a "traction engine"
I came down & helped them manage
their horse & get started again.
on their way to "White Hall". Edwd
came home from "Willow Grove" about
one o'clk this a.m. I went to the
shops to see about my phaeton and
found the "5th wheel" was broken, went
to Fletcher Clark's & rode to Ashton from
there with Mr. Harry Davis, when I got
a new "5th wheel" & took it back to
Sandy Spring & helped to put it on.
Barnes has put a coat of priming
on the running gear.
