Ther. 72o TUES. AUG. 30th, 1898 Wind
Frederic Tyson left in the
early stage for his home in
Balto: I have enjoyed his visit
very much, & hope he has had
a pleasant sojourn with us.
I drove to see Mrs Geo. Matthews,
F Leizear Jr. going with
me. Miss Rainey called & left
some weaving for Willie.
Afternoon Willie & Fanny came
& took tea with us. Edwd drove
over to "Riverside" & back before
supper. I rode to Ashton with
him & walked back.

Ther. 75o WED. AUG 31st, 1898 Wind S.E.
Quite warm weather again.
Beatrix Tyson called and paid
her bill. James Johnson brought
his wife to have a tooth extracted.
I rode "Charley" horse to F. Clark's
shop & had his shoes tightened.
Went to the store for groceries & c.
Sarah K. Stabler called on her
way to meeting. The hot weather
prostrates one very much.
Harriet & Dora did some "pre
serving", Afternoon Edwd went
to "Mt: Airy" to tune and fix
their piano. Henson Johnson
called after dark & I paid him
75 cents for going down our well
some time ago. I still owe him
25 cents.
