Still another hot day, Sister
Lizzie & Richard I. brought Sister H
from "Riverside" & left her here on
their way to Rockville. I went
the mill for horse feed, & to the store
& P.O. Many persons passed here
on their way to the "Fair" at
Rockville. Walter Iddings went, riding
a bicycle. None of us cared to go
to the Fair this year, as it is
so hot and the roads so dusty
I went to the village several
times going after supper for
drinking water from the village
pump. our water not being as
yet as good as usual since we
were so unfortunate as to drop
a bucket into it containing some
meat & butter. although we had
a man go down and get everything
out of it, as we thought.
