Ther. 62^o SUN. SEPT. 11^th, 1898 Wind
This is "quarterly meetingA day at
the Orthodox meeting Mr Thornton
Nichols & Mr Zeverly called before
meeting. I went to our own meeting
& heard a sermon from E Farquhar,
Edwd, Ida & Alex Lunsford went to
the other meeting. Mr A.G. Mathews
& his daughter "Kate" came before
dinner. Mr M went on to Mr Holland's
leaving Miss Kate here. After
noon Ida, Miss Kate & I went over
to the grave yard to the funeral
of Mrs Amos Holland. Mr Mathews
called here after the funeral
& took Miss K home with him before
supper. After supper Edwd
& Willie (who came before supper)
went to an evening meeting at the
orthodox meeting house.

My Brother in law Thomas Lea
died at about 3. o'clk this morning
after suffering for several months
with a complication of diseases
I rode over to "Eldon" to see sister
Beaulah this morning. Edwd & Alex
went to the meeting. Willie came
to dinner. Mr Thornton Nichols
dined with us, after which he went
driving C's horse to my phaeton to see
some friends. Mr Zeverly & Alex
Lunsford left here about 12-45
for Rockville on their way home
Edwd went to Sherwood School
house to fix electric bells for
Mrs Thom. After supper Harry
Fairall came to see Edwd.
