Ther. 66o THURS. SEPT 15th, 1898 Wind
Miss Martha Holland came while we
were at breakfast, She & Ida went
in the phaeton (driving C's horse "John")
to "Hazeldean" to spend the day, leaving
all the children here. I went to the
mill to have check cashed. Frank
Cook came for me & I went & prescribed
for his boy. Afternoon I went to the
Bank & paid C. G. Porter twenty six
dollars. Willie, Alice Peirce and
little Dora came & spent an hour or
two. Sarah Wright washed & ironed
for H - Miss Martha Holland and
Ida reached here again about
dusk. Miss Martha's carriage came
for her soon after they arrived
& she went home before supper.
It commenced raining gently
about the time they came back
Edwd spent most of the afternoon
at "Sherwood" school house, fixing
the electric bells.

Ther. 67o FRI. SEPT. 16th, 1898 Wind
Cloudy & threatening & much warmer
weather. I walked up to village
& Fairall's office. Hood Mathews
called just as Ida & the children
& Dora were starting for a visit
to Miss Martha Holland. Ned
Easton cut some wood for us.
Afternoon I rode to Ashton and
back on horseback. Dora, Ida &
the children came back about
5-30. p.m. I went to see Frank
Cooks boy again this morning.
Dr R Brooke's wife called to see
Id whilst she was at Miss Holland's
