Ther. 65o FRI. SEPT. 23d, 1898 Wind SE &
It rained very hard nearly all
through last night & was cloudy
& foggy until about 11. o'clk thiis
morning when it cleared off -
Wille was here for a short time
this morning. I went to mill
for flour & to the store & P.O.
Edward came home after
supper from "Fairfield" where
he has been for two days helping
Willie.

Clear & beautiful day.
I went to the store & P.O. Afternoon
Edwd drove over to Riverside and
brought sister Harriet back with
him before supper. After supper
I went to A. F. Fairall's office
& to the store. Frank Leizear Jr
called & paid bill against Estate
of George Matthews. In the
evening "Alex" Lunsford came
over from "Hazeldean" driving Charley's
horse and dayton on his way
with it back to Lincoln Va. reaching
here by moonlight.
