Ther. 50o FRI. OCT. 21st, 1898 Wind N.E.
Cloudy & "raw" this morning
although rather warmer than
yesterday. stopped market wagon and
bought some butter, 22 @ pr bbs
Willie was here for a few minutes
this morning. I went to Fairall's
office & he measured me for a new
pair of boots. It commenced raining
about 10-30 a.m. & continued
all day & all the evening.
After supper Edwd and Dora
went to the Lyceum to an
exhibition for the benefit of the
"LaFayette" monument fund.
Edwd was "door keeper". Dora
going with the friends next door
We brought the horse in from
the pasture field, out of the
cold N.E. rain.

Clearing
Ther. 58o SAT. OCT. 22d, 1898 Wind N.W.
It rained hard in showers all
through last night and early this
morning & rained very hard before
it cleared off and the rest of the
day was beautiful except for a
high N.W. wind. I went to Fairall's
offfice & vaccinated his little
girl "Naomi" Edwd went down to
"Sherwood" school house to help Mrs
Thom. I turned the horse but in
the pasture field. Afternoon
Edwd with his mother and Dora
went to hunt for mushroom's
but with poor success. Willie
Fanny & the baby came to spend
the night with us. After supper
W & I went up to the store and
to "Fairall's" shop.
